A Message from the PTA
We’re a group of parents, carers, and staff who are passionate about supporting Church Preen Primary School and helping to make it the very best place it can be for our children. Everything we do is about bringing our school community together and creating opportunities that make a real difference for our pupils.
Building Connections Between Home and School
As a PTA, our goal is to strengthen the partnership between families and teachers. We believe that when home and school work hand in hand, great things can be achieved. Whether it’s sharing ideas, supporting classroom activities, or simply lending a helping hand, we’re proud to play a part in connecting our school community.
Raising Funds and Having Fun!
We raise funds to enrich the pupils’ school experience — whether it’s something small, like adding new literature to the library, or something larger, such as the clamber stack apparatus in the playground.
We also organise fun events outside of school time, such as movie nights and school discos throughout the year, giving pupils the chance to celebrate and enjoy time with friends. At Christmas, we’re proud to fund the bus for the annual pantomime trip, helping ensure that every child can join in this much-loved festive tradition.
Some of our fundraising endeavours have included sponsored walks, raffles, refreshments at school events, quizzes, and even a Dinner Dance and Promise Auction, which brought parents, staff, and friends of the school together for an evening of fun, food, and fundraising.
And for a bit of light-hearted fun, this year we introduced the inaugural Heaviest Onion Competition — proving that our school community really can make an event out of anything! It was a brilliant success, full of laughter, friendly rivalry, and plenty of smiles.

Everything we do is made possible by the amazing parents, carers, and staff who volunteer their time, energy, and creativity. Our events not only raise funds but also bring people together — creating friendships and a real sense of belonging. We’re so proud of the warmth and enthusiasm that make Church Preen Primary School such a special place.

We’re always looking for new members and fresh ideas. Whether you can spare an hour, help at an event, or join our planning meetings, every bit of support helps. Being part of the PTA is a great way to get involved, meet other families, and make a difference in school life.
